Cunningham Door & Window, originally established in the early 1940s as Crawford Door Sales, has been a trusted provider of quality doors and windows for over 60 years. What started as a small family business selling high-quality wooden overhead doors has grown into the Louisville area’s oldest and largest overhead door company. Today, Cunningham continues to deliver exceptional products and services, backed by three generations of family leadership.

Leading Cunningham Since 1987
Chris Cunningham is the President and owner of Cunningham Door & Window, a family-owned business based in Louisville, Kentucky. He has been leading the company since 1987, continuing a legacy that began in the early 1940s when the business operated under the name Crawford Door Sales.
Under Chris’s leadership, Cunningham Door & Window has expanded its services to include a wide range of residential and commercial products, such as garage doors, windows, and gates. The company is known for its commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Chris’s dedication to maintaining the company’s reputation for excellence has solidified Cunningham Door & Window’s position as a trusted provider in the industry.

Our Story
3 Generations Of Quality
1940 - Founded as Crawford Door Sales
The company began as Crawford Door Sales, exclusively offering high-quality wooden overhead doors from Crawford.
1967 - Ownership Passes to Charles L. Cunningham, Sr.
Charles L. Cunningham, Sr. acquired the business from his father, securing financing through outside lenders. At the time, the company had six employees and a three-truck fleet.
1970s - Renamed Cunningham Overhead Door
With a growing product line from multiple manufacturers, the company rebranded to reflect its broader offerings.
2000 - Retirement of Charles L. Cunningham, Sr.
At the time of his retirement, the company had grown to 43 full-time employees, marking a period of major expansion.
Early 2000s - Facility Expansion
New facilities were built to support increased demand and operations.
Present Day - Operating as Cunningham Door & Window
Today, the company provides expert sales, installation, and service for overhead doors, electric operators, and a full range of residential and commercial products.
Cunningham saved the day for me big time!!! Cunningham’s my go to for garage door issues, they have helped me many times over the years with multiple houses.
